Podiatry or Podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis and medical or surgical treatment of the foot, ankle or lower extremity.
In-order to work within the NHS a podiatrist must hold a degree in Podiatry, following a 3 - 4year University course.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is very common within the general population. The vast majority of symptoms are as a result of a muscle strain, tendon degeneration, ligament injury or arthritis. In younger patients symptoms can also be related to the age and stage of a child's development.
Many MSK conditions can be successfully treated with MSK Podiatry following a Biomechanical assessment and relevant examination of the leg and foot structures.
